Elsebeth Lavold was terrible at textile crafts in school ... until she started knitting her own designs.
This was in senior high. It didn’t take long for her to sell her first sweater design to a prestigious Swedish magazine. She is now regarded as one of the foremost knitwear designers in the world, specializing in cable patterns. She has invented a new way of using increases and decreases to create pattern elements which was the key to her major claim to fame: The Viking Knits Project.
Read more about the project, her downloadable designs, books and booklets, and her yarn line in the below pages (under construction).
